Prof. Dr. Schuppert of BTS Spokesperson of newly founded Network for mathematical modeling, simulation and optimization

New BMBF based expert committee at the University of Heidelberg

A "Committee for mathematical modeling, simulation and optimization" (KoMSO) of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) has been established at the University of Heidelberg. The Special Commission has set itself the goal of promoting the development of powerful mathematical methods and their use in industry, while creating new forms of cooperation between universities and industry. Foundation spokesperson of the new BMBF Committee are Prof. Dr. Hans Georg Bock, Managing Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Scientific Computing (IWR), Heidelberg University, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Schuppert from Bayer Technology Services GmbH.
