Computational power for pharmaceutical research and life sciences

Our experts at Bayer Technology Services (BTS) efficiently execute application projects in pharmaceutical research and life sciences using our unique software platform and our broad experience gained in more than 100 application projects.

We usually divide an application project into three phases. During the first phase, customer data is integrated with publicly available information and a mechanistic model is established. In case of physiologically based pharmacokinetic models, this process is highly standardized as physiological information and the core model is created by means of PK-Sim. In case of signaling pathways and networks modeling, however, this phase is more or less work intensive, depending on the specific task.

During the second phase, the established model is applied for the simulation of scenarios that are of interest customized to the current stage of a development project. During the third phase, the established model is utilized along the customer's whole development project by integrating newly available information and simulating scenarios that then become relevant. The established models can also be applied for all backup candidates and for all succeeding development projects in a specific indication.
