Customized Solutions

Tailor made software solutions to suit individual needs of customers

Exceptional projects require clever solutions, especially when these projects have developed in an initially-not-envisaged direction. In such a case, a flexible and intelligent approach to solve the underlying scientific problems is necessary.

Our computational systems biology experts at Bayer Technology Services have the right tools and advice to help you succeed in all phases of development or optimization projects and we look forward to doing so.

Working closely with your researchers, we can rapidly tailor innovative and powerful solutions that meet your application needs. We provide customized solutions in a variety of fields, including:

  • Incorporation of new compartments or organs into PK-Sim® to meet the customer’s requirements.
  • Coupling of PK-Sim® or MoBi® to other programs to establish new workflows.
  • Reprogramming of software packages (PK-Sim®, MoBi®) to optimally address the customer’s needs.
  • Integration of innovative calculation procedures into PK-Sim® and MoBi® to improve software performance or relation to customer’s experimental setup.
  • Adaptation of software packages to model pharmacokinetics in other species (insects, plants…).

If you have other ideas to extend the capabilities of the software solutions offered just contact us. We are looking forward to transforming your needs into customized solutions.

Examples of customized solutions developed at Bayer Technology Services include

PK-MapTM
Easy-to-use software tool designed for the early stages of the drug R&D process. It provides a snapshot of the most important ADME and pharmacokinetic parameters of high numbers of compounds based on given physicochemical properties.

OPAL
Generic tool to support model dissemination and exploitation by non-modeling experts. OPAL visualizes complex computational models in and intuitive way and triggers practical applications like the analysis of “what if” scenarios even outside the core modeling teams.

OPAL

Product Design Workbench
The product design workbench is an integrated software-platform to support the industrial product design process and comprises of the following methods: a) evolutionary algorithms modules to handle optimization problems in high-dimensional and discrete parameter spaces as well as for the identification of suitable initial values for fine tuning; b) modules for data-based modeling, i.e. based on specific artificial neural networks and structured hybrid models (a combination of neural networks and rigorous models); c) modules for the design of experiments specifically for data-based models; d) an integrated database with interfaces to external data sources for data import and export; e) an inquiry module to find exactly those experiments which are relevant for a specific product design problem.

DPP
The complex software tool "Design + Processing Properties" is a free calculation service from Bayer MaterialScience AG to support the design of molds and parts for thermoplastic applications.
