All New Software Suite Featuring PK-Sim 5 and MoBi 3

We are currently in the final steps of developing the next version of our Computational Systems Biology Software Suite featuring an all new PK-Sim 5 and MoBi 3. The platform will be released in summer 2012 and we are convinced that with this new version we have created a new landmark in multiscale mechanistic modeling.

The new version has been completely redesigned and, in fact, re-implemented to increase performance and convenience of use without ignoring users’ preferences for continuity. The re-implementation involves an even stricter separation of drug properties, formulation aspects, treatment protocols, and species (patient/animal) characteristics into individual building blocks allowing a much more efficient execution of standard tasks and customized workflows. Each individual building block can be added to an evolving database to allow quick and simple recombination of different compounds, formulations, application schemes and individual patients or populations.

In addition, the version will also offer several new exciting features, for example, the expression database PK-Sim Express, or a completely new compartmental gastro-intestinal model as an alternative to the existing one will be introduced. Additional new features will be announced soon – stay tuned!

Customizable skins (as shown in the second screenshot) are, of course, not in focus but a nice gimmick not only at this time of the year, aren’t they?
